The Lifetime 1269 Pro Court Portable Basketball System with 44” Acrylic Fusion Backboard is a basic portable basketball system. The base has wheels for easy portability and positioning.

It is light. This portable basketball system weighs 55.8 pounds. The dimensions are 44.5 x 34.5 x 8.3 inches.

The components

The pole is a 2.75 inches round. It is composed of 3 pieces of steel. It is powder-coated with a rust-resistant finish. It has an adjustable height from 7.5 to 10 feet in 6 inch increments. This Telescoping mechanism can be tedious to work with. It will need two people to adjust it. To adjust the height, the unit has to be tipped, remove a bolt and replace.

The rectangular 44 inch Acrylic Fusion backboard features a break-resistant surface. It has a high-impact frame made of polyethylene. This backboard has fade-resistant graphics. The backboard is attached to the pole. Both the pole and the backboard tend to wobble when hit hard.

The black Classic rim is made of solid steel with welded steel net hooks. It is not a breakaway rim. Therefore, it does not have the spring-back action that breakaway rims have. The rim comes with nylon net.

The base of the Lifetime 1269 Pro Court is made of plastic. It has plastic wheels and a capacity of 27 gallons. This should be filled with water or sand.

Most prefer to use sand because it adds more weight. On the other hand, water is much easier to remove and replace. Add anti-freeze on the water as needed. Once the base is completely filled up, it is more difficult to move this portable basketball system.

Easy to assemble

Having the instruction manual as a guide, it is easy to assemble. It does not need special tools and no drilling has to be done. In fact, one person can do the job. However, it goes faster with another set of hands.

After assembling, fill the base to make sure this portable basketball unit is stable. It is ready to use after that. The Lifetime 1269 Pro Court is quite solid. With the base filled up, it is sturdy.
