The Lifetime 1306 Pool Side Height-Adjustable Portable Basketball System with 44 Inch Clear Acrylic Backboard is made for those who enjoy shooting hoops while being on the pool. Actually, it can still be used by kids even when the weather is not that great for swimming.

The product dimensions are 45.5 x 33.5 x 9 inches. This portable basketball system weighs 52.2 feet. The base is equipped with wheels for mobility and easy storage.

The components

The Lifetime 1306 features a 44 inch clear acrylic backboard that has a molded high density polyethylene frame. The acrylic shot area has a white granite finish and the graphics are UV protected.

The rim is a blue hammer tone classic rim that is made of 5/8 inch thick solid steel. It has a solid steel ring with ½ inch brace supports and welded steel net hooks. Attached to the rim is the white all-weather nylon net.

The pole is made up of two parts. The pole is 3 inches round that features a telescoping pole construction. It can adjust to 6 different heights from 4.5 to 7 feet in 6 inch increments. The steel components are powder coated for rust resistance. However, over a few years of constantly getting wet, these parts tend to inevitably rust.

Assembly

This pool basketball hoop is not that difficult to assemble even if the instruction manual is incorrect at some parts. There are some instruction steps that speak of a middle pole and this portable basketball system’s pole consists of only 2 pieces.

After assembling, the base should be filled with sand or water. Sand is heavier than water, but water is easier to remove and replace. If one wants better stability, go for sand.

The Lifetime 1306 can even be used for days that are not so perfect for swimming. The base does have wheels making it easy to move to another spot for pure basketball fun.
